elstead-bowtie-3lt-wall-light-in-matt-black
Elstead Bowtie 3-Light Bathroom Wall Light

Choosing a vanity wall light for a bathroom seems straightforward until you realise that not all wall lights are rated for bathroom use, and fitting the wrong one in the wrong zone is both a safety risk and an expensive mistake to reverse.

Bathrooms are divided into zones based on proximity to water, and any fitting installed above a mirror or within Zone 2 must carry a minimum IP44 rating — meaning it is protected against solid particles over 1mm and water splashing from any direction. If a fitting does not state its IP rating clearly, assume it is not bathroom-safe.

The Elstead Bowtie 3-Light Bathroom Wall Light answers that question directly. IP44 rated and built from steel with opal glass shades, it is purpose-designed for above-mirror vanity use, delivering focused downward illumination that works hard for grooming tasks while the diffusing opal glass keeps the light soft and comfortable — no harsh glare, just clear, even light where you need it.

Design-wise, the Bowtie range takes a modern geometric approach: three truncated square-pyramid opal shades are suspended along a slender horizontal bar, each joined by the signature bowtie connector detail that gives the range its name. The circular matte black backplate anchors the fixture cleanly to the wall. The contrast between the angular shades and the round mounting plate is deliberate and considered — sharp lines, soft light. The matte black finish sits equally well against white tile, concrete, and stone finishes typical of Mallorcan interiors.

The Bowtie is part of a small coordinated family that includes matching wall lights and flush ceiling fittings — useful when specifying a consistent look across a bathroom scheme. Lamp type should be confirmed at point of order; please contact us and we will confirm compatible bulb options and wattage for this fitting.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with Elstead because their UK-engineered portfolio offers reliable IP ratings, coordinated ranges, and the kind of specification clarity that keeps bathroom projects on track. Whether you are finishing a single family bathroom or specifying across a full villa refurbishment, we can help you confirm the right fitting for the right zone — and get it delivered on time.
