For projects where the architecture should speak louder than the fittings, this is the problem the Pixo is built to solve.

Plaster and ceramic downlights work differently from standard trim-based fixtures. Because the visible body can be painted to match the surrounding ceiling exactly, the fitting can effectively disappear — leaving only the quality of light behind. The deep conical recess also plays a role here: it pulls the light source back from the face of the fitting, which reduces direct glare (the uncomfortable brightness you see when looking toward the fitting) without sacrificing output. CRI, or Colour Rendering Index, is the measure of how accurately a light source renders colours compared to natural daylight — the Pixo's CRI of 92 means colours read as they should.

The Brick In The Wall Pixo Recessed Downlight is a plaster and ceramic ceiling fitting from the Belgian brand's Pixo range. Its square, double-stepped outer trim creates architectural depth and geometric contrast against the circular internal aperture — a considered detail that rewards closer inspection without interrupting the ceiling plane. With a CRI of 92 and an IP20 rating, it is suited to dry interior environments including living areas, bedrooms, corridors, and architectural ceiling details.

The Pixo's defining visual character is its combination of a square outer frame with a deep, funnel-shaped circular recess — a form that reads as both refined and quietly distinctive. The matte white plaster finish is paint-ready, meaning it can be finished on-site to match virtually any ceiling colour. With 11 variants available, the range offers meaningful choice across size, configuration, or technical options — your specification can be matched to the project without compromise.

The Pixo carries an IP20 rating, meaning it is suitable for dry interior spaces. Driver and lamp requirements should be confirmed at specification stage — these are not confirmed as included, and the correct driver type will depend on the chosen variant and your dimming approach. Installation requires standard recessed ceiling access; cut-out dimensions should be confirmed against the specific variant datasheet before works begin.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with products like the Pixo because they solve real specification problems — not because they look good in a catalogue. Getting a plaster downlight right means matching the variant to the aperture, the driver to the dimming system, and the finish to the site programme. That is the kind of coordination we build into every project, so the right fitting arrives at the right time and installs without surprises.

https://www.lightsourcestudio.es/en/products/brick-in-the-wall-pixo-50-led-fix-bathroom-recessed-downlight-dali-dim
